Our stories can seem to us perhaps ordinary, or perhaps boring, but all are saved by the amazing grace of God and every new life in Christ is a miracle.
Where do we go when we are short of resources? If we are hungry we go to the fridge. If we are thirsty we go to the tap. If we need help, advice or a listening ear we might go to a friend. What if we are drained of energy, enthusiasm, or joy? What if we feel that all the world is against us, that things just keep going wrong, or we feel under constant personal attack? What if we feel short spiritually; cut off or far from God? This is when we need the Secret Place of Gods presence.
The future is a dark place, simply because we haven’t been there yet and it is revealed to us as we walk into it. Therefore, it is important for us to grasp that how ever much we might plan for the future, thankfully, we can only ever see what’s right in front of us and no further, because our future is always in Gods hands. We can’t see the way ahead, but He can, and He will lead us into it if we simply trust Him to do so.
There will be times when you feel less than confident in following your calling, and this is understandable – the task can at times seem overwhelming – some days you may even struggle to get out of bed to do what you have been called to do, making all sorts of excuses. You will also inevitably face all sorts of opposition, not only from within, but also from without.
How can we be confident going forward?

In the last article I tried to reassure us that when God calls a person to a specific work, the calling is unmistakeable. Notwithstanding this certainty, even once called we can still be plagued by a feeling of inadequacy: will we have the ability to carry out that which we have been called to do?
The second part of series about Calling and Missions called ‘Be Ready for Missions’ will hopefully reassure us.

Life can be pretty hard sometimes and trying to fulfil the calling upon our lives can seem endless and fruitless, but keep going and continue to fulfil the ‘ministry’ God has placed before you…
Forgiveness is at the very heart of Christianity – beginning with Christ, as God forgave our sins through Him – but forgiveness is difficult, even for the Christian, as it is so counterintuitive to our old nature and the cultural norm. As Christians, our outward actions should always reflect the inner heart change that Jesus has made possible…
There is no real dispute among serious historians about the validity of the claim that Jesus rose from the dead. The only real dispute is whether you believe that it is sufficient to solve the quest for life or not.
